To achieve this, we take a direct, proactive approach, exploring every possibility to make sure more housing units are available at prices people can actually afford. Sometimes that means leveraging the value of land or securing better financing terms to reduce the overall cost. Being a social enterprise it invariably involves limiting our own profit margins—and at times those of our partners—so that savings can be passed directly to the homebuyer or tenant.
Housing itself may be our focus, but ultimately we believe that stress-free access to affordable housing has a truly far-reaching impact on people’s lives, giving them the freedom to invest in their families, their education, their careers, and their future. Affordable housing isn’t just a roof over someone’s head, but a stepping stone to greater upward mobility and a better quality of life in Malta.
